Well all I just couldnt wait to post these up, I was gonna wait till they were bigger but I'm just estatic about it, a good friend of mine has been going through his first grow for the past month or so, and it appears the fruits of his labor are paying off!! BIG THANKS to all the Shroomerites for all your help, this project would not have been possible with out questions answered from you guys and gals 
So this is his first cake and first attempt at this and here is what he has
This cake has 4 really nice mushies going, with the big daddy you can see sticking out  sorry for the pics not the best dig cam but you get the idea.
here is another
So the other cakes were placed in the turaruim a couple days after but all show good signs of pinning, total so far that he can see on the cakes is 14 strong pins on 3 cakes  this is all the first flush.
Again BIG thanks for all your help Shroomerites I'll post up again when the first flush has finished. Also to all you new guys out there, it is possible to do this on your first attempt! follow instructions, dont substitue and let nature take its course  I'm very excited about his first grow, as I'm sure everyone was on there first time growing mushies. I think the next project will be a bulk grow with popcorn and straw

yay!! wait till you see the second flush...afoaf had a b+ just finish on a 1 pint cake that is probably around 10 inches tall and REALLY fat!

Thanks all, at times I didnt know if it was going to work out, but patience really pays off in this hobby
dcyans- thanks for the advice, I did fridge dunk for 12 hours and roll..as you can see LOL but I'll try a bit longer in the fridge next time I try cakes, but I have a question what strain if any does well in straw? Is there one that performs better? the above are PR's and my friend is becoming intrigued with the diffrent strains and how the look

I totally agree with you Phishgirl, it IS or would be great to have a symbiotic relationship with mushies My excitement is through the roof really, I've been a bit of a green thumb for quite some time trying to grow other things  hehe but its nice to have a hobby that you can reap the benifits without having to wait half a year LOL

Ohh yes any suggestions on what type my friend should grow next? I was thinking aboout letting the Shroomerites decide for him, so what do you guys think for the next strain, keeping in mind thinking about going bulk with straw/popcorn? Hell he might even just do PR's again but was thinking about a diffrent strain just for the fun of it.

Not sure, maybe puerto Rican. The strain in that pic, MF got that syringe from Ralph, its the PF strain. but the next grow, hes actually gonna take the last 9 CCs in his syringe, and grow 9 jars. so lets hope the best of luck to him on that 
PS, is the strain in the pics you provided Puerto Rican?

Yes they are PR's my friend is still undecided on what strain to do next, but who knows, definetly going to make a couple PR prints and a syringe or two, so how knows might do PR's another time around but he's thinking of trying a diffrent strain...LOL who knows mabye I'll try your strain, and you try PR's and we can flip flop on notes LOL.

EQ's are beautiful as are Haw's and are some of my favorites. B+ also has terrific visuals (CEV as well as OEV). All cubies do great on straw just remember to compact it as tight as possible for better colonization times. 24hrs.(fridge dunking) will give you the full benefit of dunking I mean hell it's only 12 more hours and this is a hobby which requires much patients GL and if your gonna do straw next supplement it with worm casings or LNS (I still have bottles of this from Mycota (6-T))or something, Your flushes will show the benefits of adding these supplements again GL
