Are first flush's generally smaller?
    #2917090 - 07/22/04 07:54 PM (13 years, 9 months ago)

Just wondering if first flushes are generally smaller than 2nd and 3rd? AFOAF has a couple cakes and he dunked and rolled before the first flush, and on a couple of the cakes there are only 3 or 4 mushies growing. Whats the scoop with this?

Thanks all in advance--

yes they usually are but u cant expect much of a yield when doing cakes unless your a pro when compared to doing casings. if yield is what you are looking for start working with bulk substrates and grains.

Thanks for the help and yes I think my friend is going to try popcorn for substrate, and go with bulk in straw  Thanks again

You will be much happier growing on "bulk" substrate, which is the only proper way imo.
