Curiosity of LSD
    #2910693 - 07/20/04 10:51 PM (18 years, 10 months ago)

Here's a quick one for those of you who've experienced the wonders LSD has to offer. I myself, have not tried it yet. But just the other day to my wonderful wonderful delight found out that a close buddy knows a little birdy.  Needless to say I am taking advantage of the situation before it's too late, but out of curiousity. What do I do? Everywhere I look and read all I see is "Acid and Shrooms, can't be compared" This and that about how much stronger and enlightening LSD is over Shrooms. I love Shrooms, absolutely love them, which is why I have no fear/anxiety of trying LSD. Question again, what do I do? Shrooms, everyone says enjoy nature. Others say, listen to music. Maybe watch a movie? Should I do the same things on LSD and just enjoy the much more elevated sense of things, or are there better things to do?

Acid is a completely differant animal than shrooms. I wouldn't say it's enlightenning. I would say it is a neural cluster fuck. Acid is like a walk through the valley under the shadow of death where shrooms are like looking at the valley and maybe touching it.

That's a very very interesting way of describing it. Hm, well then. After hearing that. I love Shrooms. I love the feelings, I love the thoughts. But i'm not sure i'm prepared to leave all that behind now that I hear what you had to say. Because it sounds like after Acid, there won't be any going back, you've already passed that border. Maybe I will Shroom for a bit longer before I step into the world of Acid.

Seriously, I reccommend acid, it's just way more intence. It's not the kind of drug you can take every day like shrooms.

i feel very similar on acid and shrooms, on shrooms i have a really intense body feel for a short time, like an hour or two, and acid seems to be up and down, all of a sudden i will feel like im not trippin, then wham...im off my balls...then not...then again, and so fourth, ive only experienced each about 5 times, and thats my take on them.

Shrooms and Acid - thats like it is FOR ME:

Shrooms have more wild, deep, shamanic feel to it, are harder to control and socializing is difficult.

Acid is like powerful mind tool that has been given to my usage, its easy, I can do what I want and its great power is in good synergy with me. I can talk and socialize much better than on mushrooms.

things I like to do on them:

shrooms - nature, woods, plants...    also laying with closed eyes.

acid - psytrance party, dance, liberate from ego, feel love and esctacy.

But I must say, even thought acid is much, much easier for me to handle, I`v heard some people say it is SO, SOOO wild. Maybe I havent taken enough yet? Acid allways seemed to me being what I was thinking it is. Maybe it has potencial to be everything you could imagine it to be?  or I have tripped one too many times

Also, I`v heard some other interesting comparision of the two:

Is shrooms are Lord of The Rings, then Acid is Matrix.

Yea. They are both just as potent in different ways, and both can be used in similar ways, it all depends on your mindset. Mushrooms can induce incredible hallucinations depending on how focused your mind is. LSD no doubt has more visualized hallucinations, but the randomness is a little discouraging. In a shroom trip everything is inter-related, your thoughts affect your hallucinations.

Sensations, feelings, insights, fancies--all these are private and, ex- cept through symbols and at second hand, incommunicable. We can pool information about experiences, but never the experiences themselves. From family to nation, every human group is a society of island universes.

If you can handle the worst of what shrooms throw at you...

^^^

Shrooms are a rougher ride for me then lsd.  If you can roll with a mushroom trip chances are lsd shouldnt be an issue.  Just flow with the expierence.  Do it in a good friendly enviroment with people you trust.  If you feel safe enough venture outside and walk in nature, again somplace you still can feel somewhat in control if things get hairy.  If you doing this by yerself id recommend a didscman and some headphones too .

People are comparing mushrooms to acid, I'd just like to throw in the fact that not all trips are the same. Every trip i've had, even with similarities, have been quite different. Also trip will vary person to person.

Completly of the point..but as were on the subject of LSD. I have often been curious about the effects and how bad it could be to have a bad trip on LSD. The effects last alot longer and are more intense, couldnt a bad trip be life/mind threatening? I dont think i would be able to keep a straight trip for 12hours without falling into a depressive mind, is it easier to pull yourself out or have a good trip? i also heard of people thinking there spiderman etc, does LSD send you off your head? because on mushrooms i find that to an extent i can control myself and act sain if needs be.

I have never tried LSD before, but I still know what you guys mean by mushrooms being harder to control. Sometimes I feel like if I don't relax or change something in the environment (music, lighting etc.) Im going to freak out or go crazy or something when Im on mushrooms. It feels like my stomach is just going to go inside out and Im going to turn into a blop of jelly.

I know what you mean , If i cant relax i seem to think something is wrong an tend to fall into a bad trip. Say if a friend who is also on mushrooms is with me but cant relax or isnt having a good time, i cant relax therefor i cant enjoy the trip. Everything has to be right, I would prefer to do it alone..in a dark room.. with nice trippy music (prefreably nirvana), but that would seem a bit lonley and could be fately stupid.

I recommend mescaline! I had a sweet time on it and most people say it's the best of both worlds: the clarity of the cleanest acid and the mysteriousness of the shroom with an MDMA like body/emotional high. Little mindfuck, so you are less likely to screw up your brain like people can do with acid.
