Kerry, of course - although allow me to add a caveat: If Bush were not in the white house today, and I didn't feel as strongly as I do about the need to get him out first and foremost, I would be voting for David Cobb.
I'm a big fan of the Green party. They have a long way to go to solidify their platform to really become a party of the people, but I love em.

i left out a few of course, and there can be write-ins...
there are some crazy political parties out there.
the vice presidential candidate for the personal choice party is porn actress marilyn taylor.
there's another political party called the peace and freedom party...
here's their economic agenda:
" * Double the minimum wage, and index it to the cost of living. * Guarantee the right of all workers to organize and to strike; forbid striker replacement. * Socially useful jobs for all at union pay levels. * Equal pay for equal work, and for work of comparable worth. * A 30-hour work week with no cut in weekly pay; longer paid vacations. * Guaranteed dignified income for those who cannot work. * A Universal Basic Income to alleviate poverty and homelessness. * Tax the income and assets of the rich to meet human needs. * International trade agreements must guarantee the protection of workers and the environment in all participating countries; abolish NAFTA, GATT and the World Trade Organization (WTO). * End homelessness; abolish vagrancy laws; provide decent affordable housing for all. * Social ownership and democratic control of industry, financial institutions, and natural resources"
hahaha. i love it. SIGN ME UP!

Those things are ABSOLUTELY unamerican if worked towards through government force and coercion.

I voted for Bush. I really wish that all the things on the "Peace and Freedom" platform were achievable if it was as simple as signing them into legislation. It isn't that simple. We have laws against murder, but people still murder. If you want to have a law against poverty, don't expect that to work either. In fact, we have tried that before.
Indeed, the "Great Society" programs and the "War against Poverty" were initiated in the 1960s. At the time, they predicted they would accomplish their goals in 4 years. Decades later, we are still feeling the ill effects of increase Government interfence with free choice. Does anyone here want to live in Government housing? Anyone want to argue that paying people not to work is a good incentive? Those programs blatently failed.
My favorite is "A Universal Basic Income to alleviate poverty and homelessness". No matter who you are or what you do, even if you achieve nothing and choose not to work, we will give you a home and an income. How many people would just love that? Why not just sit around surf the net and beat off all day? Might as well if it isn't your dime. WOO HOO! Sign me up to. I just became a liberal.

A few days ago, I would've said Kerry. But at this point, I think I'd have to say Michael Badnarik.

Interesting comment. Would you like to give us an example (start a new thread, please, so as not to derail this one) of the American government condoning corporate use of force and coercion? pinky

Surely there should be an option: "I would not vote as voting simply reinforces an archaic and corrupt system. I am not willing to participate in this illusion of choice anymore!"
Just a thought!

Because somebody has to pay for it... and eventually the people doing the paying part get sick of supporting the people doing the nothing part.
> Social ownership and democratic control of industry, financial institutions, and natural resources
Communism (which is an economical model, not a governmental model).
