Wake the hell up. Friggin redistribution of wealth via taxes and the congress is all you're about.
Still no clue how you can support republicans if you believe even part of what you just said. They've had near a decade in control of congress now and near half a decade in control of both congress and the white house. Social Security has not been privitized, government is encroaching more and more upon healthcare in this country, welfare is alive and well. If a minor tax cut is all that's needed for you to declare the republican party to stand for what they say, then you are truly deceiving yourself.

LOL, I see what you mean in a way. My views are fiscally conservative and socially more liberal. . Im not happy with the Patriot Act, but dont want nukes going off in my backyard, and that is a very REAL scenerio. Bush has tried to get S.S> reform, but reform takes a while and upsets many folks on both sides. Conserv's want to let you keep more of your money in your pocket, so you will spen it and invest it. Dems want to tax it and spend it the way they see fit. All GWB wants to do to healthcare is form a bill to stop frivilous medical malpractice lawsuites, and thats good. He does NOT want to have socialized medicine, you know that. I dont like all I see with Bush by far, believe me, I like my environment and want to protect it. Hell I even belong to PETA!!! YTou believe that?? LOL, But I tell you this, Kerry scares the shit out of me in more ways than one. He can't even make up his mind on where he stands, his views change with the group he is addressing, he is extreemly scarry to me. I dont know too much about your guy, but would be glad to entertain discussions on him and how he would help.
Thanks for being civil and I have enjoyed your posts in these forumns.

welfare is alive and well.
For the corporations and Bush's rich buddies it is, for the poor it's been under relentless attack for the last 20 odd years.

Those are all horrible things to strive for.
they are fine things to strive for, but using the government to do it has serious consequences which leftists such as these guys overlook. maybe we could start another thread about this?

Care to tell us which jobs don't? Not which jobs YOU have no use for, since we know you're too smart for some jobs (I know because you told us so), but those that no-one would have no use for.

Sometimes the threat of veto power tends to change policy BEFORE it gets that far. Bush veto threat on highway bill poses dilemma for GOP WASHINGTON (AP) ? President Bush has chosen a giant, jobs-rich highway bill to show his election-year toughness against congressional spending, to the chagrin of many Republican lawmakers, governors and business allies. Weeks of talks have yet to reach a middle ground between the Bush administration, which has threatened to veto any bill that goes much beyond Bush's $256 billion limit, and GOP lawmakers who say the nation's crumbling infrastructure demands far more. House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., set the target at $275 billion. The greatest power of the veto is not in its use but in its threat. [Bush] has threatened it many times, and it has modified the legislation," said Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia?s Center for Politics

How many spending bills has GWB vetoed? Did you know that spending has increased more under his administration than Clinton's? The man is no conservative, he's a big government crony capitalism Republican.

Quit dodging the question, it's not that hard. How many spending bills has the jackass vetoed?

No, he who wants to please everyone and nievly thinks compromise will win him points. Didn't work with his buddy Ted Kennedy. He needs to stop trying to win over liberals who hate him anyways.
