With casing, How cum you get better yields yet you still use the same amount of growing substrate?

Just say you use 4 pf cakes worth, wouldnt you get 4 cakes worth anyway?

Why/how does the casing increase the yields?

I've been reading the Teks, but cannont/missed the answers.

does casing stay in the foil cassorole pan tho??? the cakes directly touch the perlite in the chamber and I think thats why I get such good mushrooms, cuz they drink up the perlite :smile:

ok so it more about the water content than it is about the nutrients.

Does make sense as mushies are 90%+ water by weight.

in fact, you want your casing not have the least nutrients as possible to ward off contams.

I've been having good luck with casing especially since this is my first grow. This site is the key to success.
