Maybe Chinacat was shooting something other than pure dmt because .4-.6 mgs is a large iv dose...or maybe i'm just drunk.

If micro is 10^-6 and mili's 10^-4 then 1 micro's .01 mili, so 75 mics would be .75 miligrams :P

I'm not sure about the .4-.6 mg dosage range but I know chinacat said that he did IV 75mgs of pure N,N DMT. I'm sure you don't need nearly as much when IVing as opposed to smoking, so china's dose was quite large indeed. I would say that the .4-.6 mg seems kind of small even for IV though.

Stassman injected .4mg per kg body weight. So a person weighing 80kg would receive a 32mg IV dose. Which makes 75mg out to be one hell of a dose, and Chinacat to be one crazy bastard. I've only smoked the stuff around 6 times over the past 2 years, and only by forcing myself to do so. If I could get pure DMT in salt form and knew how to properly inject the stuff, I think I would prefer it to smoking. I have a tendency to chicken out and quit after a third toke, rather than forcing myself to go all out. My only real breakthrough came when my friend practically forced a fourth toke on me. Its also kind of difficult to get it all in before the effects start to really take hold. Proper technique is very important. I have one last dose which I think I'll save for my next mushroom trip, as suggested by Chinacat.

Yes as stated above he was using .4mg per kg. of body wieght.
IVing .4mg. of DMT would not be active at all.

What I'm wondering is how differant an ayahuasca experience is from a pure synthetic dmt experience. How are these two experiences comparable?

Aya is alot more theraputic. My combo of mushrooms and smoked DMT is very similiar to Aya except it's easier on the body by a country mile. The visual phenomenon is very simliar.
The difference in smoked or IV'd DMT and Aya is becuase of onset and duration. With Aya your trip builds up. With DMT it's like getting a punch out of nowere. Wam, bam thank you mam. It's too much too fast. This is what makes it special.
This is also what keeps it from having very much theraputic potential. It just leaves you stunned.
