Good points. I always use any substances in MY HOME! Nobody else's so I don't put them at risk. If you can be safe and use in your own home you should be able to. This is why I am never going to get arrested for using substances. Because:
1) I buy from trusted and close friends who grow
2 ) I get jobs that don't require drug tests
3) I use inside my home and am comfortable and in a good mood
4) I will stick to those rules
oh and
5) I don't tell a lot of people I use
I would go for a compromise where people have to use in a private home. And let LICENCED establishments( basically a legal bodega) sell the stuff only. But a private person can grow like 2 plants at a time. That way they aren't producers. I can grow tomatos in my garden and I'm a private gardener. I have fields of tomatos i'm a large scale producer which has regulations by the gov't. Get it?
Oh yeah I have chronic back pain. THe only thing that takes the pain is pot ONCE a night. Prescription drugs I have either built tolerences or they don't work well.
Night.

Alcohol is a bigtime special interest group in D.C., just like big tobacco..William Randolph Hearst was a bigtime special interest in his day. He gained his fortune in paper production...pulp paper. His competition was, of course, hemp paper suppliers. Since he had so much stroke, he single handedly started the 'Reefer Madness' hysteria of the 50's. He is the number one reason marijuana is illegal to this day.
Anyone that thinks the government is actually fighting a 'War On Drugs' is fooling themselves...the government is bought and paid for, especially by drug dealers...be it Pfizer(Viagra, Zoloft), Eli Lilly(Prozac), Budweiser, the Colombian drug lords(don't tell me that those boats just float up to shore in Miami Harbor without anyone knowing about them), or whomever...
The drugs that make you weak will always be in abundance...but the ones that make you strong will be suppressed out of fear!!

ive always had a running joke that the government and DEA dont want anybody else to have the drugs so they can have it all for themselves and after making a bust they throw giant underground parties for all government employees ... actually its not much of a joke, it really isnt much of anything now that i think about it
We're all mad here...

Last year alcohol and tobacco killed over 500,000 people, and deaths attributed to marijuana, guess...... thats right, a big fat goose egg! Marijuana killed no one, and continues to do the same. I just went to a marijuana legilization debate about two days ago, anyone interested in "legalizin' it" should definately check out a group called NORML, National Organization to Reform Marijuana Laws. it is the oldest weed law reform/legalize group in the U.S., they have really good and interesting things to say
