How many pounds are usually used for a typical run? Or I guess how much spawn would you use for how many pounds.

Yes, it is the same compost my friend uses with her pics. And what McMan said about the ratio is correct. On a side note, my friend did add a 1/4 inch layer to a spent casing, and in about two weeks another flush came from a casing which had already produced 8 flushes. As long as one keeps nutrients and moisture,temps right, you may be able to prolong the flushes of your own casings. This experiment was done on the samui strain.
