Dunking a casing.

Just curious.. for casings, are you supposed to flood the casing right in it's tray, then drain after 24 hours? Or submerge the whole tray in a bigger container of water? Also, how do you get the excess water out when you drain it? I've heard someone mention a turkey baster, but I don't have one.. would a syringe work, or would it clog? Thanks.

Just mist it a lot after each flush.

I wash the old casing material off, dunk and recase after each flush. This produces the best yields, in my opinion. Here's a link to the process I use. http://www.mycotopia.net/cgi-bin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=5&post=167199#POST167199

That's exactly what I was looking for.  Thanks a ton, Roger.
