near death experiences
    #2909898 - 07/20/04 09:31 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

i have had many when i was a baby i was stung by a spider and almost died. when i was four some how i triped and a twig went in my throat and i almost died. then i fell from the roof of my house my uncle told me i stoped breathing. when i woke i didnt really feel the same lik i had glimpsed something but no idea what i was . i was dead for about a couple of seconds my uncle was a doc though and revived me. it seemed fate or death was out to get me. since then i have had several i have this sort of feeling like i could sense things, some of you may think im full of shit but its very weird. i have received some omens like a crow herer and there a deadanimal everywhere i went and one day i was walking and the sun was barely coming up cause i had to catch a bus to go to L.A i watch my shadow as the sun is coming upand then a bus comes and plows into my shadow and as i was crossing the street a semi truck was heading towards me and was not slowing down.maybe its just a coincidence maybe im just paranoid but i dont belive so. has any one had near death expiriences?

"i was dead for about a couple of seconds"

First of all you have NEVER been dead, or you would not be here now.

NEGATIVE N.D.E.s

? The small number of reported cases has limited the research done on these experiences. There appear to be three types of Negative NDE categories: ?Inverted? NDE, Hellish NDE, and ?Meaningless Void? NDE.

? The ?Inverted? NDE follows basically the same format as the traditional NDE but the person perceives it in negative terms (i.e. they respond to the tunnel of light with fear rather than peaceful acceptance). Generally these people are terrified of the prospect of losing one?s ego because they are dying. They strenuously resist the same events described in other NDE. In most of these cases the person finally submits to death and begins to experience an ?inversion? to a ?normal? NDE. (Ring 1994)

? Hellish NDE may merely be more intense versions of the previously described ?Inverted? NDE. The imagery is suggestive of an archetypal hell and demons. Some people experience the ?inversion? mentioned above. Others maintain hellish imagery throughout the NDE. For an example of a Hellish NDE, click here.

? The ?Meaningless Void? NDE occurs when the person is quickly drawn into a state where he or she may be mocked and experience life not only as a cruel joke, but ultimately as an illusion. The situation is naturally perceived as intolerable, and the individual will struggle to prove that he or she does exist and that life does have meaning ? but to no avail. (Ring 1994) These NDE, unlike the previous two types, do not resolve into positive ones.

?Every image I was able to conjure up to demonstrate there was meaning in human life was immediately followed by its negation and ridicule? I felt caught in a vicious circle of unbearable emotional and physical suffering that would last forever.? (Grof 1988)

thought creates reality

those who are consumed by fear dwell in it

Circumstances do not contribute to fear?

I will. There is alive and dead...no in between. That is like "a little bit pregnant".

or perhaps it should be.. those who dwell in fear are consumed by it..

anyway.. there is a difference between being fearful due to circumstances, and living (and subsequently dying) in fear.

I have experienced what I consider a NDE on K and on Shrooms. I feel as though I am getting so close to it (death) that I if I go one fraction further I will acheive some great awarness. Thus, the mystery and lessons in life will be unrobed and it will be too late to turn back. I have seen colors, images of myself and other self's, felt happiness and loss at the same moment.
Any similar experiences? Read "Bring it On!" under the Level 5 trip report. I submitted it yesterday. I am new to this website and interested in others experiences as my own trippy experience enlightened me and fueled my curiosity.

I have taken up to 9 grams of shrooms and can assure you I did not come close to death. The toxic level is immense, and probably more than you can consume. How did you have a near death experience on shrooms? In order for an experience to be "near death" one has to be near death.

What about an out-of-booty experience? I sometimes get that late on Friday nights.

When someone's heart and respiration stops they are considered medically dead, and can sometimes be revived, like our friend here. You can find this information in practically any medical text. I was just reading about it last night at school, in fact.

i have had a nde. and no i dont think you are full of shit, lots of people here have have nde's and probably do not even realize it. many probably as babies like yourself.

you do not have nde's off of psychedelics. an out of body maybe, but you are no where near death. an nde is an out of body experience, but with an afterlife focus.

Clinical death is merely a medical term for temporary loss of heartbeat and respiration...it is not death. Ask any doctor if a dead man can be revived and you will get a negative answer.

no offense ok? but you dont know shit about what your tryin to talk about. when you are ignorant on such matters, so you shouldnt speak on them. there have been people slapped with toe tags. been dead COLD for hours, then a worker at the hospital will see the sheet over them moving becuase they are breathing again. this is but an example in attempt to prove you are full of shit and know nothing about what you speak.

They were not dead or they would not revive. I would check my facts. Many of these cases are associated with cold water that slows down the system. I don't know shit in general, but I am not alone here in this. I have had medical training, though.

www.dictionary.com death: 1. The act of dying; termination of life.

Nothing here left to the imagination. Dead is dead. Almost dead is alive.
