Too intense or a sensitive stomach?
    #2907582 - 07/20/04 06:23 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Alright, here's the deal.  I'm going to try acid in a few days and just have an odd question.  I've shroomed a good 5 or 6 six times and loved every second of it.  The visuals, the insights, the music, everything.  Except every time I eat them my stomach is extremely uncomfortable.  A couple of times it's almost gotten out of hand, but never completely.  I was wondering if it's the intensity of the trip that's making me uncomfortable or just the mushrooms themselves.  I'm hoping it's the fungus wrecking havoc on my insides and doing acid will treat me better, but if it's the intensity that's getting to me, I'm worried it could cause a problem...I'm not to going to let this stop me from doing it, just wanted a few thoughts from all you fellow trippers

Acid usually has way less body load than shrooms. The abdominal discomfort you speak of is characteristic of shrooms and some other tryptamines but not usually with LSD. There is a chance that you could feel some slight nausea during the come-up but it shouldn't be anything too major.

And a tip - if you haven't been doing this already, its a great idea to not eat anything for a few hours before eating shrooms. This prevents or at least reduces nausea / discomfort in most people.

I've puked on acid before, but I was hiking....the stomach discomfort went away after puking though, but I had never had that problem with LSD before.

Chronic, do you mean fast? Yeah I would agree that fasting is a good way to help prevent upset stomaches IMO. But from what I know, there is more discomfort with shrooms than with acid.

I think the stomach issues are mental and physical. I have a buddy who every time he eats shrooms. He throws up maybe 1 hours after he eats them. He doesnt on lsd i dunno. He says he just always gets the urge from mushrooms to do it and he never really feels that stick afterwards.
