Got some serious rubbery matting after casing that did nothing for over a week, did something I’ve never done before and scraped that sucker with the tips of my scissors and got pins the next day I in no way condone this behaviour. Hausteca (thanks Mary!) Blue myc kinda reminds me of terrible cake icing a kid would make :/

Next Hausteca tub already colonising the casing but not instantly rubbery like the last, knock on wood.

It was a great initiative from your side. It's been entertaining and fun, and I didn't expect them to perform like that
Thank you for a great competition indeed! Anyone is invited to chime in for the rating or whatever 🤣
My moldy bispos are doing pretty great, more and more confident ill see fruits

Something that has me scratching my head is the lonely mohican pin in my semps. I dont even wanna mist it because that as far as I understand this could stop others from pinning. Maybe you have some advice despite the wrong thread 🤷

Need some advice here. I cased these TTBVI tubs 9 days ago now and still not pinning. I've kept the lids cracked about 1cm and RH between 85-95% but have been struggling to keep my space at the 72-73°F I'd been targeting, so I expected it to take longer but this long...?

Setup pix. Not the greatest but it's what I have rn. Small fan in the bottom keeping constant, low airflow. In-line exhaust fan on top runs for 2 min three times per hour.

Why covered if in a tent? Pans like the evaporation, which your lids are preventing.

Between the lid preventing light exposure and the lid preventing air exchange, and all of this happening inside of a very humid tent... you basically have no evaporation going on.
Which is me agreeing with Roscoe's point (love fam). Just wanted to elbaroate.

crapola... my set up isn't great then... my humidifier causes droplets to form on the top rack which then drip down onto whatever is below. I'll have to think of something

Hehe 1,5 is on the higher end of what I tried but I can manage. Still miss my first cyans. My last two cultures are from the spore print an agar clone pin has dropped. The initial print I dont have anymore. The genetic bottlenecking that must have happened over there results in these white sporeless cyans that effect wise are quite different. Less cyan in a sense. Like my first culture would last 8h, no CEVS, and pure magic as far as feelings go. Pure feel good. These I have now get me to meet my dark side more but the comedown is the best Ive had to date tho. They last less time, more CEVs, and kind of more similar to other species also

I had a Jamaican culture that was similar. No visuals or thoughts whatsoever. Like a timeless now. God I wish I had it still.
Anyway, I think the dark aspect to cyans is its main feature - if you want to work through your shit and make peace with yourself. If you're looking for a good time, these might give you some unexpected surprises.

I posted my barren bisporus casing, 5 days ago, saying that I had no pins, and I wasn't sure why. I was keeping them between 64F and 73F. As advised, I increased the temp with a heat mat that I use for sprouting seed. The casing has colonized, and a pin has appeared. You were right.

This sounds crazy, but I'm just happy to see that it is indeed mycelium I have been growing. I was beginning to wonder.

I know the feeling. I've been working with Mexicana for the first time and some days my power of discernment seems dubious at best.

1.5 is a level 5 for me- of the TTBVI that I grew
like- activating the light body- Alex grey experiencing- feeling the matter around me on a molecular level and able to communciate with the consciousness therein.

I’m curious about trying CVG+ supplemented with liquid fertiliser, instead of manure/coir substrate.
Is there an optimal NPK ratio for supplementing with? Also, how would one calculate the appropriate dilution of fertiliser for a given volume of CVG? I assume there’s an optimal level of nitrogen per litre of substrate for example?
Any clues would be appreciated.
