Re: Palestine: Officials here (in the U.S of course...) say the intra-Palestinian clashes in Gaza since Sunday only underline the need for reforms. Right, since Sunday. o.... tay... (btw, it's now Monday)
Sure... interesting that Bush(it) pops his little leprechaun head up for this issue. It's also interesting that he, bush, makes no comment about Sharon's comments about all French jews leaving france to escape what he called the "wildest anti-Semitism."
Give me a fucking break...

Long overdue, don't you think, this little uprising against Arafat, seeing as how he has pretty much led his people into a cesspool. Should've been fired long ago. And if you don't think anti-semitism is a problem in France you are blind, deaf and dumb.

history's a bitch huh?
About France... Have you even visited the country? If so, tell us your personal experience with 'anti-semitism' or racisim in France.
I lived there... just curious to hear the comments of someone who also experienced daily life in France.

I think Arafat has become a barrier to peace in the area. Mostly because the Israeli's like the fact that they can block negotiations because of him and also because he seems too interested in holding power for himself rather than to serve the Palestinian people most effectively. On the other hand I also think Sharon and his government provide just as much of a barrier to peace.

So, when exactly did the Palestinians make an offer for peace and Sharon rejected it? Hmmm. All that anyone can bitch about Sharon is for killing militants and building a fence to keep out terrorists, both seem like a logical necessity when faced with people who kill your civilians and want to destroy your country and purge your religion from the area. Besides common sense self-defense, what has Sharon specifically done to stop peace from happening? Offering the Palestinians a state? Pulling out of Gaza? Dismantling settlements?

I do believe Chirac himself has spoken out about the disturbing amount of anti-semitic incidents that have occurred in the last few years

If you cannot see there are failings on both sides then there is little use me trying to point out the blindingly obvious to you really is there?
