It is very expensive to live in California.
Sales tax in Alameda (NorCal) is 8.75% thanks to Schwarzenegger. Berkeley is the land of shitty ripoffs. The apartment I live in now costs $2300/mo. I split the cost with 3 other people.

Ouch, my bro pays $900 a month for a nice ass house with a basement and shit in Atlanta, and I thought it was expensive THERE. I guess the beautiful and very much talked about Cali is very much expensive.

Housing here is much like gasoline. Today I got lucky and paid $35 to fill up my car, where as I usually spend about $40. Premium hovers at about $2.59/gal. People gotta have gas, like they gotta have a place to live, charge what you may. Keep in mind that NorCal is an unusally expensive place to live (mainly because San Francisco is a tourist town), and is a little higher priced than the rest of California. Still, back in LA the gas prices are the same and the housing is equivalent too, but the tax is a little less, 7.75%, methinks.
I'm going to bed I have class in 8 hours.
