I agree Russdogg, moderators should be in the background.. But when there's bickering and fighting going on and we are constantly emailed and prvt messaged to do something we feel compelled to act....
I know that I get involved a lot with this community, but thats because I care about this "dump" as you so kindly put it.... The problem is that there are very vocal proponents for both sides of every possible argument we can think of here. ...
The moderators have been trying to bring peace to certain on going feuds, and its sad to say that little has changed with the involvement of the moderators.....
Sometimes a board goes through these things, but I think if about 6-7 individuals calmed down, stopped nitpicking every thread to bitch about it being in the wrong spot, off topic, etc... this place could get so much more peacefull if we could not debate at every turn the validity of posting pics by vendors, moving threads, etc....
I am honestly excited about stepping back from daily involvement that moderating brings, I really hope we can get some good individuals who have the rigth temperment can step in and keep this place running smoothly... Outside of cultivation and spore vendor forum this place is running nicely.... The trolls have left, probably because they saw that scary title under 3D's name
I'm sure if everyone took a deep breath, let the past go, and attempted just to avoid posting negetive shit, that this place would return to normal quickly... If you notice the majority of posts are normal, with no flame wars etc... But the few threads with certian key users bring out the vocal minority who revel at confrontation and seem to enjoy the bickering that they add to this place.... Its plain to see who wants peace and who won't stop fighting..... Hopefully we can just chill out and let things get back to normal....
Now we are discussing McMan's comments about vendors and their pics in the moderator forum, we do listen to both sides and we try to find a middle ground since we always here strong arguments its seems from every side.... But its best I keep quiet, and let the moderators deal with this and hopefully we can move forward to try to improve this place...
I bet everyone is tired of these long replies lately, I will cut down on my presense and I hope the others who are in this debate do so as well.... We can discuss changes to this forum and the board in the suggestion forum anyways if anyone wants to share their thoughts...

Thor...I always try to be blunt on these boards....Helps to cut down on the fingerwork...:D
Moderators that stay in the background and do there job are always the best ones. From my years of being a forum fly...
If they do there job right, don't start fights, are fair, they need not to explain their actions to shits like me

Exactly, moderators should just moderate and not try to be mr. answer man, a biased dictator, a common troll or a vendors mole. And there lies really the only problem with the shroomery these days. A certain so-called 'mod' is not ending fueds, he is starting them and is at the center of them. I don't want to name names but if you are still wondering, its mcman of course. To continuosly make mistakes 'accidently' and then think everything is patched up by merely saying 'sorry', it's a joke I stopped laughing at about about a dozen times ago.
The real mods are to hesitant to take away his mod privelges for reasons unknown despite the obviousness of the problem.
As for the pics, it was quite clear a few weeks ago that the Spore Vendors forum was going to be a designated place for billboards pics of peoples products. What happened?
and russdog, what the hell is a 'providence'?

McMan said that he didn't want to moderate anymore so he no longer moderates the Spore Exchange forum.

Calm down there McMan.... this is all a cyber game. Everything we say here doesn't matter in the "real world".
Max...isn't a providence a state in Canada? Like BC?
I could be mistaken..:)

does anyone know of any well-organized and strong activist group advocating drug education/awareness and legality in the United States and/or Canada? perhaps, if such a group exists, an anonymous donation route could be set up through this site. i realize it could be hard to remain anonymous (who knows who reads these posts), but i agree that it might be prudent to keep the spotlight off this place, in order that it might still continue to flourish in its own way.
the fight for education about drug use/abuse, and the end to prohibition and propaganda is a seemingly insurmountable one, but perhaps it would be worth a try to fight the good fight, as well as continuing our research in the privacy of our own homes (where, regardless, the government shouldn't dwell.) i can't see an end in sight, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth trying.
best to you all...

i dont get everyone asking to donate $ other places. i mean, we can all donate to norml and erowid etc. thru other channels. but we're here *now* taking the shroomery's bandwidth every time we log in, post, whatever- costing them $ (in having to maintain and pay for our use); we're here getting info, etc. here on a board that doesnt make $ and costs the wm's $ to keep running... they're not asking for money to help legalize drugs, i dont even think theyre *asking* for money... but if people were interested in helping out with the cost of *running this board*- theres the address and info where and who to send it to.

Any donations will go towards paying the hosting charges so that we may continue to improve the shroomery. Any donations are very much appreciated.

Why donate money to this site?...... I think if you want to run a site dedicated to illegal activities then you should pay for it.
Donate your money to me....
