New here, read the faq, still more questions
    #2899852 - 07/17/04 01:34 PM (19 years, 8 months ago)

Hi guys!!! I just found this website and have spent the last 3 weeks scouring the faq and everything for some answers, I'm new to growing I needed a new hobby after my boyfriend broke up with me (long story). Anyhow, here is my question. I've got 3 cakes going currently, none of which are fruiting, but they are getting very very fuzzy. I think its due to high humidity, but I fan and fan all the time. Hrmmmph, oh well I'm sure you've heard this a billion times. Any help?

Cakes getting fuzzy is normal. It's just mycellium that tries to grow in every direction. As long as it doesn't smell bad or turn to another color, it's normal .

Pins should appear pretty soon. Expect anywhere between 5 to 14 days for pins, if you fan regularly and give a bit of lite once in a while.

I usually get pins on cakes in 7-10 days.

good luck!

.fs.

No they're room temperature. These are cakes that I have birthed, sorry about the confusion. They are in my terrarium, humidified with perlite!

Never had cobweb on a cake. I don't even know if it's possible. Maybe i guess. I wouldn't toss everything right now.
