If you eat freshly picked Shrooms, will you trip harder? Or do they have to be fresh for a better trip

well they taste better fresh, and depending on the drying method, very little to a bit of potency could be lost

I don't think it would really make a difference, unless the dried shrooms were handled alot.

Mushrooms have a few different psychoactive chemicals in them. I believe drying them destroys a fair amount of these other chemicals, but not psilocybin.

fresh mushroom trips are much different than dried.

dried shrooms are good but fresh are the full monty. Fresh trips are stronger and longer and feel complete, dried are lacking something, its hard to explain.

On one occasion, I took some dried, then into the trip, I decided to chew some freshies right off the casing. I think it was a good boost to the trip, and it was interesting as I chewed them, very silky. I know that during the trip you experience crazy reactions to things, but chewing fresh fruitbodies was way cool and it enhanced the trip so much.
I have done fresh and dried, I prefer dried fo ease since I make capsules.

Personally, I feel the fresh ones are way nastier than the dry ones. I've only done dry ones twice, and it was much easier to get down than doing freshies. I think the smell of freshies is way stronger, and that's what usually makes me cringe.

i have way more spiritual trips off of fresh, more visuals, and duration lasts longer. this is just IME.

Yeah, just check out the dosage calculator. It says about 30 grams fresh for a level 5, and about 5 grams dry for a level 5. 30 grams fresh=3 grams dry. So, yes, fresh are noticeably stronger.

oh come on now, 30 grams fresh is not going to get you to a level 5 trip. In amsterdam they sell boxes of 30 to 35 grams of fresh shrooms. Do you really think they would sell level 5 trips to tourists? i doubt it. that'd be way too dangerous

In amsterdam, they grow for weight, not potency. Eat some of my foaf's shrooms and you'll see what I mean. About 30-35 grams of fresh shrooms is all you need to merge with space/time. If you need more than that, you got weak shrooms!!!

one thing i dont understand about fresh is that you have to eat more to trip. like if you ate 2 grams dried you would trip but for fresh you would have to eat 20 grams. Whats the deal? Or am i just lost?

All the wet weight is water, so a mushroom that weighs 20g fresh, will mathmatically weigh 2 grams after being dried, and i also think that fresh trips are much better, also they are easier on my stomach.
