No Spores!?

About a week ago, I cased 2 jars with 50/50 mix of just damp vermiculite, and then filled the top with verm. I was being lazy, because didn't have any coco coir, and decided for the two jars, I didn't really care enough. Well, something has gone terribly wrong, and I'm not sure where because casings are relatively simple, especially when I have done them in the past. After 4 or 5 days, I saw two pins and was relieved that the vermiculite wasn't going to be disastrous. The first one was in fact extremely potent, and I decided to cut it before the veil broke, and the bluing was intense, and made me very happy that these 2 jars were going to be somebodys in this world! Well, after that first pin, I didn't let it open, I decided I needed a print from the upcoming ones. They came slow, and the few that did were all softies. Only a few inches tall when they opened, and none of them, I mean NONE, had spores. After over a week of picking the first one, only had 9 shroomies to account for, and weighed out would probably be 2 grams dried, if I'm lucky. This is rediculous. I'm not in the mood to be wasting time for this casing to produce an efficient yield. If anybody ever had the same problem, some reasoning or logic behind this would be great. My brain just isn't working or something right now.

well i don't really understand yr question but i will try to help you anyway IME a deeper substrate or a more nutritious substrate will produce larger fruits... as far as spores im surprised you don't have them what strain are you working with? PE? next time i would go with more cakes in my casing if you have done this sort of thing before and yr worried about spores i would look into karo tek and some good bulk teks

I've seen it happen a couple of times before---both times with the hawaiian/golden teacher strain. Just clean, clean shrooms...

Sometimes you do get sporeless mutants. It happens. Clone it out so you can perpetuate the freakishness.

Maybe having to do with casing with a 50/50 verm/perilite mix. Seems to me that thats gonna do something with your humidity.

Sometimes it just happens. I had some mals that took 3 full prints just to change the color of water in one syringe. The shrooms that grew from that syringe put out spores like mad. So to put it simple you just never know.
