Hey there... after making my first casing today, (wish me luck with that)... I've decided I'd like to move on from the PF method, so please what is the easiest bulk tek to start working with for cubensis? Bird seed, straw or popcorn... what do you guys recomend? that is... what has the best results...

Bird seed spawned to straw gives nice results. I've yet to work with popcorn.

Spawned to straw?!?!? you mean have jars of bird seed and then add the colonized bird seed to straw...?!?! can't imagine anything else
Or just like explain what you guys mean with spawn... I've just checked the FAQ's and can't find an explination anywhere

Yeah that's what he means. Popcorn is the SHIT. It's insanely awesome, I recommend that. PC a bunch of quart jars of popcorn, let'em colonize, open the jars and empty them into some pasteurized straw and mix it all in and let that colonize and let fruit.

Hey man read this post below, it will help explain more in depth of the straw casing method.

STRAW TEK - first try.

Would it be possible to case the popcorn, or musst it be spawned to straw? Not that I wouldn't be willing to make the effort if nesesairy... but if its possible without it would be a lot more convinient for me not to do that...

You could case without spawning to bulk, but your yields will be much smaller and you'll have to use more popcorn for the same sized casing.

Since this is your first step up from PF, it might not be a bad idea. You may be dissapointed though, AFOAF has seen some strains that do well on PF tek do pitifully on popcorn cased alone. It's your call & you might just want to case starting out anyway b/c it'll be less new stuff you'll probably have to get to be ready.
