nonactive fungi from australia
    #2896182 - 07/16/04 08:29 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Made it all the way to Uluru. From Melbourne it's quite a drive.

Here are some nonactive mushrooms from Kaniva:

Some guesses include omphalina ericetorum (bottom centre,)
some polypores (bottow left and above,) and not many ideas about the others, dermocybes?(the orange.)

This one was found in the desert, i think its a podaxis.

Any comments/guesses on the pics? I know they can't be identified due to massive lack of information. I'm not gonna eat them.

You must love looking for fungi. There is no way I would drive that distance for non PAs. Nice photos btw, the last one looks interesting

I like photoing, and finding things. This is a mushroom forum so i didn't bother posting photos of the rock, nor some of the nice minerals i picked up along the way, nor the drunken crew we turned into around the camp fire.

Great adventure - interesting mushrooms only conusmed around an hour out of the two weeks and less than 1% of snaps. But yeah - i find heaps of things you find in the wild interesting. I didn't find any active fungi (to my knowledge,) but i can still find them here in melbourne so the season is still on.
