Hi
I have a datura metel seedling wich is about 2 cm now in a small pot. I was wondering if datura does a good indoor plant? i was hoping to have it near my bedroom window as I wish to have this particular plant near where i sleep. How much light does datura demands?

It's a great plant for indoors man. I've had mine for a few months, putting it near a window and it grows hardy. Doesn't require much light, just put it near a window.

It is easily grown indoors although I have had much better luck outdoors. Do you still have it on a heating pad (if ever)? I water mine once a day and fertilize once a week. They are always documented as being very heat and draught resistant but this simply isn't the case in my experience.

I havent used a heating pad since it was summer when i planted the seed. but i had a low germination rate 1 of 4 seeds came. How tall does this plant get? I want to grow other Daturas together with metel. Wich ones should I look for, I have no plan to ingest any part of the plants I just want to keep them around me so alkaloid content is not so important as look, I want some that looks good together with Metel in size and color

Well I have seen metel that grew 6'-7' tall. The key is regular feeding and watering. The botanical garden that had these fertilized them once a day with week dilution of 20-20-20. The pods were as big as my fist. Other plants that look amazing with metel are Egg plant, Castor bean, Purple "Ruby moon" hyacinth vines, and innoxia. I have a very themed garden where metel as the main feature.
If your seeds are old they will have a low germination rate. If you are in need for some fresh ones , PM me and we can work out a trade.

Wow, 6 to 7 feet?! Mine is only about 12"-14" tall and the seedpod is about the size of a bouncing ball. I just planted some innoxia and stramonium to go along with it, they'll probably sprout soon. Good luck with your plants. Btw A'neglakya, you're avatar trips me the fuck out dude.

I have eggplants already, they are everywhere in my garden. I really enjoy this plant. I`m reading about hyacinth vines and innoxia now. Both very interesting. Thank you again

Did you see my other post? Brujo's garden? The innoxia and eggplant go VERY well together. I also show off my metel there and there are some breath takign pics of the flowers. I wish I could have all of you guys over for a BBQ session. We could smoke cigars and walk through my garden as we discuss the history of the plants. Oh well, maybe I will dream of this tonight.

Yes, now I have seen them. An awesome sight.
A walk in your garden with good conversation is something worth dreaming about. But I would have to bring some vegan food that BBQ
