strange..

Hmm.. is it normal for a casing to like.. change.. shape?  One of my casings (which I birthed about a week ago now, no sign of pins yet) seems to be getting kind of lumpy and uneven.. it was relatively flat when I first birthed it, and I haven't been handling it at all since then.  Casing number two is not doing this at all (but the surface of #2 is more colonized than #1).  I don't see any contams, just myc.  I'm fanning it plenty and misting 2-3 times a day.  Is this unusual, or anything to worry about?  Sorry, can't take a pic.  No cam. :frown:

P.S. ...the 'lumps' are too big to be pins.  Unless they're monster pins. :P  Which seems unlikely.

If they are big and look like balls, try to lower your RH a little bit by more fanning or less misting, wathever is easier for you.
It could be too high of a temperature. I had a casing last summer at 30?C for 1 month and all it grow was some big mycellium balls.
