Hey how about Dead Prez ? Hmm politically-oriented rap. Now this is Rap that doesn't suck. Check it out if you would like...
-------------------- A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

My thoughts exactly.
Anyway like I said I am more into other types of music, infact I recrod my own instrumental music, but my cousin raps and has friends that do, I dont, and never really cared about rap much.
But Sweatshop Union is awsome and I dont care if anyone else doesnt like it, as for the group I posted, Paris,I dont care if people like it or not, but they dont have to act like retards, d_sT_in that little bitch
Sweatshop Union, also known as Dirty Circus, they are from vancouver, check them out.

See also: Herbaliser DJ Shadow Kruder & Dorfmeister Red Snapper
I've heard a lot of stuff called trip-hop, these are some of my favourite artists. Especially herbaliser, check out "Shocka Zulu" on album "Session One" (not the version on blow your headphones) for some truly inspired music.

The first time I heard it I thought it was a joke, taking the piss out of lager louts - it does a damn fine job of it.
Check out these lyrics:
Who's round is it? Down that beer quick smash my glass back down fall over the table All rowdy and pissed Seems the only difference between mid week shit and weekend is how loud I speak And whether I try to pull a girlfriend That's it who's got dough? Hey, you know I'd pay but I'm broke, only got coinage to show Putting off walking home on my own to my thrown Two empty takeaways ashtrays and remains of the day stoned Pick a bottle off the table, peel the label tell a fable Offer opinion for free and a solution to the latest big news story Football and smut daily as I ponder winning the lottery Buy a drink, chat to a lady, the girls well fit definitley, not maybe, she's rude I'd shag her and make tea right there
Funny as fuck.
I saw them live aswell.
