Could OPEC be funding terrorists?
    #2893062 - 07/15/04 12:30 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

Just a thought here but it seems like it would be in the intrests of OPEC to cause problems in Iraq because a free democratic Iraq might be likely to break from OPEC and I don't think they would like that.

Any thoughts?

Could be, but think of the repurcussions for them if the world found out. I'm not sure they'd be willing to take that risk.

I just figured that if they stood to lose billions and billions of dollars because one oil contry breaks ranks and cuts prices, it might be worth the risk in their minds to do what they can to cause a west friendly Gov. to fall.
