Something I read about San Pedro
    #2892304 - 07/15/04 05:38 AM (12 years, 4 months ago)

First time I've ever read this, but it said that pachanoi's grow in groups and flower at the same times, even plants hundreds of feet apart will still flower at the same time. Is this gibbereish? is the answer simply because they are in the same climate -duh?

Actually, I've heard that one reason for this is people cloning them and all the clones flowering at the same time. You know, cutting off pups and such. As far as the groups of them, them most likely all grew from seeds started at the same time from the same mother plant.

i dont know, but i would assume it could be all of the above. climate i would think is the main reason. i think they have a pretty damn short flowering period too, may have something to do with time of year in flower and also when the seeds drop.

yea i suspect they woudl be all fairly close. because of climate and things. and i dunno much abotu cacti btu they only flower for a day or 2 so if they want to get pollinated it woudl have to be in that window.

peace
