Is 80 good room temp. for bulk colonization?
    #2890329 - 07/14/04 03:11 PM (19 years, 9 months ago)

Im not sure how much heat the incubating bulk-grow generates, but would a room temp of 80 degreez be alright for the colonization stage?

Much heat, at least internaly in the substrate

>but would a room temp of 80 degreez be alright for the colonization stage?

get a meat thermometer and see how much heat it generates at the core. 80 should be ok but nrmal room temp 73-75 works fine for me.

Thanks for the replies. Will try the meat thermometer at the core, but if too hot ill try putting a couple fans around the rubbermaid to hopefully bring the temps down a few.

I doubt there too high but it would be cool to see how hot it is. I bet manure stays hotter then straw simply because it has less nutrients. Ill meaure the core and room temp of my friends bulk casing tomorrow.
