i didnt re starilize them after they were innoculated.when i steralized my jars they get harder a clump up.so i took thay flour ou tha jar and broke it up and packed it down loosely then re steralized tha jars,let it cool then innoculated...im kinda thinkin maybe theyre not warm enough..but my jars are in a styrafoam cooler and id think that would be insulated enough

O.K.---Let's start over! What substrate recipe are you using?
What temp is the room the cooler is in?
Are you SURE that the substrate in the jars was room temp when you innoculated them?
Throw me a bone, Man!-- and I'll try to get you pointed in the right direction.

alright..im using half a cup of organic rye flour with a quarter cup of water.The room temperature is constantly iconsistant wit tha rest of tha house(cuz my windowz alway open to air ou ciggareete smoke),i'd say between 60-80 degrees.but i didnt think it would be effected by the cold since it was in my closet,in a cardboard box in a thick styrafoam container.maybe i'll put lysol soaked blankets in tha box for insulation.it might be that my jars are too dry from the second sterilization or maybe cooked.my honey water looks like its growing something,its got litle white flakes floating around in it and on tha bottom. these were ther the first day but were alot smaller and there wasnt any on tha bottom of the jar so i think its growth.Once tha mycelium water is done i'll just start over cuz im not sure if the room was room temperature(my bathroom),and my substrate probably to dry.

You do have verm in there with the rye flour right?? And before you innocculate again, pour some agar in a few of your canning jars and drop the spores in to see if they are good or not.

My advice is to you.... Follow the MMGG. it has all the ADVICE you need.

Thank you for the compliments! This pic was my very first flush ever. That has been MANY moons ago, but I saved the pic(you know how that is).

I would LOVE to join you, but I have to pass tonight. I have to work early. But possibly next time. It won't be Those that I will use as my chariot(been gone LONG ago:)), will more that likely be these Pan.Trops. in the freezer, that I use as my vehicle.
