I have no pics, but I live in southeast Louisiana and I found them in cow dung. The cap is 2-4" in diameter and has a nipple at the top. The middle of the cap is brown/tanish then fades into brown then purplish on the outside. The gill is dark and the stem is 3-4" and has a purple ring at the top. They bruise blue and the spore print is dark purple. Do they sound safe enough to eat?
*if* your description is accutate they are Psilocybe cubensis.
Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.
