Question on PC

question on pcing syrnges and needles for re-use,
should i add water into them? im going to be using them for LC
or should i pc them empty? and for how long if im doing 10-20?
do i pc with the little plastic tip on as well? i dont have lure locks just the needle and the plastic cover.
also how long should i pc if im doing 10-20?

First welcome. Second pc them with your grain or liquid culture jars on top in foil. Or in a jar covered in foil or sealed . Don't add water to syringe they will pressure out more times then not. Plastic caps are fine too. Pressure cook min 1 hour.

This is a good alternative to pressure cooking syringes for reuse.

i see this thread is adding water to the syrnges is it okay if i dont sense i already have a lc not doing multi spore for it so dont need the water.

In that thread boiling water is being used as the heat transfer medium which does the sterilizing. No pressure cooker involved.

seems everyone is just using water to clean them out, i might go on the safe side and do the water empty syringes totally then pc just for "safety" sense everything dies at 115 degrees for spores and stuff

it actually takes 250º for endospores say for grains or other media in a PC etc, but that is not necessary here. you are functionally sterilizing a relatively clean syringe with boiling water.

So if i were to be using it for lc i should follow these steps wait for the water to cool then empty then suck up the LC?

Yes. Have a container nearby to receive the discarded water into, and empty the water out of the syringe at the time of aspiring your LC.
