Hello, this is my second time cultivating shrooms, sorry in advance for bad english So, at first i didnt block the light in the side of the tub neither did i pack it hard so they started to grow on the sides. As soon as i noticed that i corrected it, i dont know if its too late. Long story short, i have alot of side pins but they all stopped growing, is this bad bad? am i going to loose alot of harvest because of it? how could i take them out? im afraid since the cake is kinda big if i pull it out and place in a bigger tub i might damage it
btw these are MDK apparently
I just harvested the first shroom cause it was getting too big and was pushing the top of the tub (wich i have loosely put in to let air come in, since i read that somewhere) and have it on the top of my pc fan since i leave it on all day, but my seller recomended i put them on the air fryer at around 100F for several hours
here are some pictures

If you have another tub the same size next time you can put a tub on top upside down to dub tub it and let the mushrooms continue to grow.
Light doesn't cause side pins, having pockets of air between your substrate and tub/bag gives them the perfect environment to grow. You can leave the side pins and the mycelium will start to reclaim it, or if they are getting bigger and making it to maturity you can always float your cake so you can harvest them a little easier. Just fill the tub up and let it float to the top of the tub so you can harvest the top and sides a little better.
You can try to avoid side pins by using a liner next time. Personally I don't mind side pins. They can get pretty big. I've had ones grow from under the cake all the way up the side and up to the lid of the shoebox.

Should i 1.- try to harvest those side pins 2.- leave em there, maybe they grow? (its been 3 days and they havent grown that much specially compared to the top ones that seem to be on crack) 3.- try to pull the whole cake out and place it in a bigger tub?

So i can just put water on it and it will float and not damage the ones in the top that are already growing? can the side pins "rot" and ruin it all?

Harvest the top surface. Take a tub same size and place it in. Flip the tub over and let the cake rest on the second tub. Harvest side pins now.

They grow bigger like the ones on top, they´ll just look a little squashed, don´t worry.

Give them some more time. If they abort, they get black caps. They don´t rot that fast.

If I get a bunch of side pins I float the cake and put it in a bigger tub. Let the side pins grow.

Yes. Once the caps turn black they won´t be supported by the network anymore, they become aborts and won´t grow further. Nothing wrong with them.
Black and slimy would be different

Hello! My GTs don’t seem to be doing that well, started looking promising with many pins but have only had around 15 shrooms since then and now may look like they want to abort or are struggling or already are aborts. Idk what to do I don’t really want to soak as it’s in liner and just long messy process😂😂😫 ( have harvested the ready shrooms in pics but they didn’t get as big as my first grow last year .

One thing i've noticed on my grows is that : starting from multi-spore - i get a pinset - they start to grow - some get to mature, big fruits - some get to mature, small fruits - some don't get to maturity and get aborted.
But this sequence is like a cycle the big fruits and small ones break their veils at the same time more or less ( +- 1/2 days) the pins that did not make it to "maturity" will get aborted regardless if i let them on after i harvest the big ones.
This cycle resets after a 12-24 hour dunk and another 7 days of "rest". then i get another pinset, new growth, etc
and this cycle repeats on every flush.

I harvest as much of the aborts as i can with my fingers, the rest, that are too small to pick by hand i just leave them on.

Well i just did this Hope that is okay, anything i should look foward/prevent or something, its such a big tub idk about the humidity, should i just leave water on the bottom because it wont even touch the cake? also it may be for nothing cause the side pins all seem to be dead, also the top pins only 2 are maturing the rest seem stuck again, idk whats going on at least theyre biggies lol
would i get more luck on my second flush or is this gg?

I usually use a setup like this :

and also get lots of side pins, and pins growing on the bottom, but i just gave up on trying to stop them and i let the micellium do it's thing.
As for what you can do on your cake i can only give the general advices:
Keep the humidity high Keep the corect surface conditions prior to pinning Mist ONLY if needed Be sure that temperatures don't go crazy high 35-40°Celsius and generally just leave the thing closed into it's box and don't tinker too much with it.

Most likely the coir lost its colour a bit. How big is the tub? Shoebox or 12qt? As i started out, i dunked everything, until i noticed waterlogging several times. After that i switched to heavy misting until it pools a little on the surface. Repeat until it doesn´t absorb anymore and pour off excessives. The cake absorbs what it needs.
