Psilocybe subaeruginosa wild clone * 2
    #28888753 - 07/27/24 06:50 AM (5 months, 18 days ago)

I don't take clones of store bought or wild mushrooms as I always run into issues with bacteria and hate wasting dishes, never really got it right over the years so didn't do it much.

Anyways I lost my previous P.Subaeruginosa backup in a move to a different country and was planning on buying some spores to back it up again. I just happened to be at a park a few weeks back, ended up slipping in wet grass and as I got up saw a patch growing (really couldn't believe it), anyways picked a couple, took them home, washed them off with a drop of dish soap and water, then rinses in 3% peroxide then water again, tore them open and got a few pieces on agar and some caps in petri dishes for spores. The next day notice lots of bugs in the dishes that fell out of the caps and already started to notice most were showing slight signs of bacteria so wasnt confident any of the clones would take and thought the prints would be no good too. A few days later ended up having one dish with no signs of contamination, I'll likely do a couple more transfers just to make sure it's "clean" then get it into a cryo-vial for storage.
