Are u working with pints? I work w/PR's all the time pints usualy take longer. Did u grind up your rice? Was it organic? If not, don't panic. I've had the PR's go up to 45 days before being fully colonized. It does seem like your temp is off. At 80-85f, I had the best grow spurts. When you do something wrong like 2 much water or temps off, it slows the growth. If there are no visual contams, just b patient. If you open the jars 4 some reason, ck the smell. Any other smell besides the sweet smell of mushies, probably means the worst. At 80-90% done I usually just flip the jar and put them in the fruiting chamber. It helps them pin better when the growth seems slow.

I'm working with 1/2 pint jars and BRF, not sure if it was organic or not, yeah I'm gonna give them another week I lowered the temp in my incubator, and also after closer inspection it looks like the center of the cakes are well colonized in all the jars, just in some parts around the edges , and on one jar some of the side, there is little to no growth. And there is a good deal of moisture in the jars, I'm thinking my mix was to wet, I inuculated 3 more jars today, that have been sitting around for about a month, (in a cool dark place) they appear to be alot less wet now after sitting for a while so mabye they will work out a bit better. I'll just be patient for now and see what happens.

If not my first try will be a failure  :frown: but ohh well i can always try again hehe

Man, I'm thinking that you'll be okay. You have no visual contams. Everything seems to be going okay except for the speed. Believe me, I've ran into this before, just be patient and I'll bet my bottom dollar that you'll come out on top. It's got to be your water content. I know from experience. It takes forever if you mix it too wet, but if your centers are colonzing you're going to be fine. Keep your chin up!

I'd start a new batch w/ a little less water maybe. If you have time do the soak and drip dry thing before you pc. Just leave those other jars be and let them do their own thing unless they get contam'd. I had some jars go for 3 months because of too much water that ended up making the wait worth while. Some of the better fruits I've had. It can't hurt to let them go and see what happens while u work on some new ones. If you do birth them be very sterile cause your asking for mold city.
