problem: video codecs'n'such
    #2884966 - 07/13/04 06:20 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Im not actualy sure if I need a new codec. I use to be able to watch any divx movie with sharp images. What I mean exactly by that is when movies play they arent always sharp as is, the codecs or whatever filter program makes the jagged edges smooth thus making it look like a sharp/clear image when originaly it wouldnt be. Its like FSAA in games (full screen anti aliasing).

So Im havin this problem at this very second, I wanna watch GITS but Im getting that crapy jagged edged image. It was always easy to fix with an update or codec download but I got the latest for windows and the best codec pack I know of.

What can you ppl recommend?, thx in advance.

Thx for the recommendation, Im now using the mega codec pack but it didnt fix my problem, though I actualy managed to side fix the problem in the meantime. It seems if I use players other than windows media player it'll run fine. BIG difference in video quality, almost like watching a beta movie then watching a dvd movie.

I know WMP can do it, for some reason mines borked, but it dont matter anyways since I can just use the other players.
