Does anyone volunteer?

Today I filled out an online form to volunteer for the Green Party of Canada. I made sure before to go over most if not all of their platform and all that, and I can say I agree with over 90%. The only reason I can't agree 100% is because there were one or two things I wasn't completely understanding in, and there was one thing I came across that I didn't agree with which was lowering the voting age to 17 because no offense to 17 year olds, but I don't think enough are mature or responsible enough to vote. I know I wasn't at that age.
Is anyone else a supporter, member, volunteer for the Green Party? It would be cool to meet people on here who are part of them.

I signed up for a U.S. Green Party newsletter once and then they started calling me every week asking for money. :P

That's silly.
Ours, for donating is something else. You can only donate so much money too. It's kind of neat. I didn't sign up for a newsletter. I'm going to volunteer. Yeehaw!
Calling someone and asking for money is silly. If you wanted to give them money then you would. Do they not know that?

I volunteer at the local cinematheque. Cinematheques are non-profit/government funded theatres that show classic/contemporary/foreign films that normally couldn't find a commercial venue. Kind of like, a film museum. Most word-class metropolises' have one, they are very very cool and play the best films ever made.

I volunteer for the Kerry-Edwards campaign in SW Pennsylvania and in my county. Currently putting in about 10 hours a week, but expect that to climb to as much as 40-50 before the election.

I've volunteered for many things over the years. I painted old, poor peoples' houses with "Paint Your Heart Out" program. I worked with Migrant Ministries, which helps out migrant mexican workers and their families in rural Florida (though a religious group, I never heard anyone bring up religious topics with the migrants). And I've volunteered over 200 hours at a local hospital this year. I haven't found any political groups that I identify with, so I haven't volunteered for any yet.

I haven't done anything in a while, but I have several hundred hours of volunteer time built up from teaching low-income children (and adults) how to swim. I have also been on various volunteer rescue teams in the past (for both spelunking and rock climbing).

I developed and run a very small program to increase lighting on crime ridden inner city streets. It makes people much safer when they can see everything that is going on, and violent criminals don't like hanging out in well lit areas. It is not a very big program or anything, but it has worked well in the target area.
