Companion Drugs

I'm curious if anyone has any experience w/ taking shrooms and kava together. Kava generally relaxes you and gives you a slight euphoric feeling, so it seems like it would be a good companion. Oh, and, while I'm on this line of thought... what are some "safe" companion drugs that help to keep you calm throughout a trip?

Ooo good call! What about something like Xanax or Percoset (not sure about the spelling on the second one)? Something that will lower the risk of freaking out.

Tobacco. No, seriously -- tobacco's a great drug to moderate a trip with. It lets you focus your attention and temporarily reduces the trip just a little. This is actually the reason that psychotics tend to smoke like chimneys -- it lessens the impact of their disease.

Benzodiazepines like xanax and valium will calm you down during a trip. I wouldn't really reccomend taking them unless your freaking out though, it'll mellow you out and dull the experience a bit.

How bout respect and love for the shrooms? And asking them for a good trip, then trusting what they show you instead of being afraid of freaking out and trying to fix it with other drugs....

I once used alcohol, weed, and salvia with shrooms... not that I'd recommend it though...

Pot is always around when I trip. I also like having alcohol for the comedown. After chillin' and trippin', you start drinking and just party the rest of the night. I don't know what it is, but if you've been tripping, alcohol goes into you like water. I'm sure you can take the nastiest tequila you can find and chug that shit no problem.

Its also interesting to get drunk while still tripping hard. Its definately a wierd experience, much wierder than tripping by itself. It makes the experience dirtier though, so I don't like to do it too often.
