You can use perlite/water in your terrarium for creating humidity.  The thing is, perlite with water will always give you around 99% RH assuming you don't have some venting system to lower the RH.

Does a casing fruit well in a 99% RH environment?  YES

Does contam love 99% RH and risk of mold higher when working with 99% and casings? YES

Every casings I made using a 99% RH terrarium contamed after or during the second flush.

Now that I have a better setup with around 90% RH, I can easily go with 4 flushes.

That's all.

So don't worry about it.  Just prepare another casing as soon as your first flush is harvested

Casings don't need any perlite & water to fruit well---They (casings)provide enough humidity themselves to fruit.
Although I like to keep my RH at 80% with casings and I find that efficient enough for them to produce pretty well.

My two pennies!
