Terrence McKenna was very adiment about silent darkness. For those of you who have taken him up on it, what did you see? I'm working my way there. My last trip I did mostly with my eyes closed. What's it like when you are in the pitch silent dark and open your eyes? Is the whole world there?

it just allows your imagination to run wild, cause there is really no sensory input for your brain to distort.... and its different everytime, for everyperson etc.....

I just recieved some "mindfold" glasses from the Alex Grey website. They basically allow you to open your eyes in total darkness which is good for me as complete darkness is often hard to find (streetlights near my window, etc.). They also come with earplugs for total sensory deprivation.

Interesting, I think I'll try this. I have plenty of ear plugs, I forget the ratings on the package but you really can't hear crap with them on. I'll can seal off my room for the darkness. Sounds like a plan

both i guess, but mostly original stuff. some crazy crazy stuff. along with that the shapes that i see are so deep, complex, and forever changing. i would have to say that your mind is the best place to go explore while under the influence or psychadelics....but im sure thats a given

I trip inside a closet alot....there is absolutely no light in there and my mind begins to work.
Often times i see liquid movement of distorted shapes while others its very real things we may see every day. I've spent time on the launcch pad of a rocket and in a very hip lounge listening to a piano. Other times i can ride roller coasters or travel down a sewage tunnel. The feeling of movement is very real though more than forwayrd or backwards i seem to rotate and ascend.

Your mind has a clean slate to draw sites and sounds on, uninterrupted.

Its not very hard to find information on somebody when you're sitting on the internet with the world at your fingertips
Terence Mckenna was "just some dude."

I've been thinking of creating a sensory deprevation chamber for tripping in. I got the idea from a movie called "Altered States". If I make it, it will be quite different from the one in the movie though, because I'm not so sure about the safety of the water. Water was used to dampen sound and (I believe) to create a feel of weightlessness through boyancy.
