My main outset to get a screen saver was something that I could stare at and contemplate things, keeping my mind more active in the process through stimulating images. Then obviously I figured why not trip on it too huh?, thats why everyones here anyhow .
Id REALLY like to know some good places that have tons of archived screen savers, 3D ones are particularly interesting for me. I use to know a place that had lots of top notch purely free 3D screen savers about 3 years ago but who knows if I'll find it anytime soon.
Im sure tons of ppl here would appreciate it aswell, thx in advance.

thx Im trying it out at this very moment, seems pretty sweet though I have my cpu overclocked at 1575mhz and I also oc'ed my vid card just to run things OK with high settings, its brutal , cool though, what differences have you noticed with graphic changes? edit/add: more specificly what do you prefer? running at higher res (ie:1024x768) with low detail or low res (ie:640x480) with high detail?, so far my preference is lower res with higher detail

3 words... Advanced Visualisation System (AVS) I hope that's what it stands for
try Winamp They should have some good presets there too.
Ones i reccomend are by duo, el-vis, whacko and some of Zen-X's stuff is amazing!
If yer pc is fast, it should have good syncronisation to the music, I reckon AVS is a weed smokers best friend (for psychadelics maybe a bit too fast and distracting, but there's some great ones too)

milkdrop is alrite but all the presets look alike really. You can get some REALLY amazing avs presets!
But because milkdrop uses your graphics card the visuals can be higher res and are much more fluid and smooth, so thats a plus.

http://www.reallyslick.com/ - some excellent screensavers, the "Helios" one in particular is very good
and http://soundspectrum.com/g-force/index.html is a great visualisation

It's freeware minus the "Not for commerical use" line that pops up every now, but one of my current favorites is Rabid Hamster (http://www.rabidhamster.org/R4/main.php). The nice thing is that it works with Winamp, iTunes, or any audio you play.
-------------------- The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.
