 Nuclear anihlation and human extinction

I've been thinking about all the hatred of Americans I'm seeing in the news and on the internet and recently thought of the huge nuclear arsonal the USA has built up during the arms race with the Soviet Union. I don't think much effort has been made to reduce this stockpile. I believe the USA has enough nuclear weapons to destroy all life on earth, so I was thinking, how could I get my country to launch all the nuclear weapons and destroy the entire human race? I don't think I could be elected president, so maybe if I got together with some other people we could possbly take over the whitehouse, take the president prisoner before most of the country discovered what was going on, torture the president and get him to give us the codes and the procedures which would allow us to launch all the nuclear missiles from the silos, launch the planes and missiles from the submarines and destroy everything on earth. That way there would be no one left to hate anyone. Death before dishonor I always say. We were ready to do this with the Soviet Union before it fell. Better dead than red as they say.

Good luck! There are so many fail safes and safeguards it would be next to impossible. But if you had been following Bill around you might have been able to grab his codes when he lost them. Of course you then would have to aquire the "nuclear football" from the multitude of armed guards.

I know a guy that almost killed a US senator because of the safeguards. He was in the US military and his job involved the transport of nuclear weapons. They always traveled in pairs and had orders to shoot to kill if anybody that got too close while they were working. The story goes that there was some VIP tour going on while he was unloading a nuclear weapon. One of the guys on the tour saw something interesting going on 'over there' (where my friend was) and decided to go take a look... bad move. My friend had the guy on the ground at gunpoint and the MPs on the way before the tour guide knew that anybody was missing... lucky for the guy on the ground, that he was a US senator, and was to avoid any trouble. When it comes to nuclear weapons, the US military has zero sense of humor...
