Alright today walking my dog i stumbled across 2 different mushrooms. I'm only going to describe one of them though, untill i get my digi cam.
Its about 3-3.5" long w/ cap gills are light blue when held into light stem is white cap is closed, and not unfolded yet. The cap is 1" long and .5" wide. Cap also is dirt white, with a slight touch of brown.
They grew next to a tree, in a very leaf rich ground. There were about 3-5 others, but they were mutilated by snails.
This is the closest pic i could find. The only difference is that the cap isn't unfolded and the stem is a lot shorter (2" w/o cap).
no. can you get a sporeprint? they are in no way Pan. [Cope.] cyanescens. blue gills seems rather distinctive, but is not representative of any psilocybe.
Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.
