The thinnest spaghettis are dry already but I’ll turn it up if I need to, what temperature?
Just bc I have used the oven as a dehydrator before and it works fine with the hot air setting but now I’m getting worried

As long as the air is actively circulating, dehydration is fine. You don’t want hot, still air. That’ll ruin your harvest.
I wanna say my dehydrator does 155°F? I’m sick and I only have 30% of my brain right now, so sorry if that’s off by like 10°. You want to dry these as fast as possible. Ovens are notorious for turning shrooms into burnt sticks. Just be careful.

It’s on convection which circulates the air, so that’s all right, and I’ve already got a wooden spoon in the door to keep it cracked open and circulate further. 155F is 68C, so I’ll turn it up. Thanks for looking out 😊
There are different sizes in there from spaghetti to pinky finger. Is it better remove the thin ones first when they are cracker dry or wait until everything is ready?

Yes. It is a virtual rollercoaster of emotions. All is not lost, however. I have already canceled the card and a new one is on its way. It will be a few weeks now before I can spend all the money on myco supplies before Mrs. loaf finds out that I have these points.

Left 2 contamed grain jars out on my back porch. Hidden behind a bird feeder I’ve been meaning to hang for 3 days but got lazy on both.
Wife’s aunt saw them today and asked so I said I heard trich was very good for our plants. We have a good garden started but not the compost pile like I told her.

Mist that x7x+. The slight pressure from the water will quickly turn the surface mycelium light blue.
This isn't contam, won't wipe off with q-tip, and doesn't smell.
Just the whole of organism of this variety wanting badly to turn blue quickly when it can. Even a fan pointed in the direction will do it.

I confess I just spawned 3 jars of 4 month old bacterial nat rye. Broke it up, rinsed and strained it twice. It looked like the stuff from cultivation themed nightmares. Somehow I'm confident nats will pull through

I confess. I've grown tons of mush and continue to do so but I don't post anything because of the push back I recieved here when I was a noob asking about inoculating peat... which worked out at the time despite the drama in the thread. It's a shame.

Confession: I used to mist my boxes, up to about a year ago. It's pretty harmless as far as "not the most current common tek" goes.
When I mentioned on here, I got dog piled by a TC and 3 other people over it who mercilessly called me a noob.
One of them was so harsh that a mod told him to cool it. That guy got vibed off of here over something else shortly after and hasn't been back.
Won't happen with Smelly. Smelly is beloved by all, and he should be.
Misting is fun, isn't it?

I confess that I used my oven to dehydrate… My mushrooms ran for 24 hours using convection/hot air on 65C with the door cracked open as described above and they turned out fine, nothing burnt or anything, cracker dry and packed up now. They and I escaped the fires of hell (for now). Am making ReverendMyc’s stoned gummies this week once the supplies arrive. Much appreciated the concern for our souls/sanity, we made it out safe ❤️
