Question about bacteria
    #2878840 - 07/11/04 06:46 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

hi i just sterilized my jars in pressure cooker for 1 hour. I let it cool down overnight, today i checked the jars and their seems to be bacteria, i there seems to be a clear solution on the inside of the jars, im wondering if i have anything to worry about, i havent inoculated them yet or anything, the lid has been on the cooker all night, with a paper towel sprayed with lysol covering the lid.

Sure thats just water...if you PC'd it for an hour there is really no way that there could be such a huge bacterial contamination from an overnight sit.

If you got extra water in your jars during PC your water content may be to high.
Not to scare you :smirk:
