Simply awesome, sir. I have been reading and watching YT videos for a week. This is the simplest and cleanest presentation I have seen yet. Thank you.
The Hitchhiker's Guide theme is a nice touch. It has been years since I read the series. You've made me want to revisit it. lol

Thank you Mr Beef.
I had tried a very mildly successful all in one grow bag and came across the most excellent HitchHiker's guide. I went the "rich mans" route, purchased LC (steel magnolia), pre sterilised grain and coir. Made the ez dialed monotub and appear to be having some success albeit with fuzzy feet.
I figured if I can grow using the rich mans route, then I can slowly introduce the variables of doing it myself, first step is cultivating the pick of this batch on agar..

If I could block the word gypsum I would. The horse is dead and I wish everyone would stop beating it.
(I have no personal stance on gypsum)

I'm highly sceptical.
How come we don't see the 4 fold increase in yields with a casing layer?
Did they actually just use ms cultures for this? (Seems like they did from the link)
Who grows cubes on hpoo/popcorn? It literally says: the most commonly used substrate among cultivators....
Bet there's more but just a few pages in, I'm not impressed by this methodology.

While I think it's great that UWI is doing research on psilocybe production (Fully legal and a budding industry in Jamaica), I personally would have shredded this article in peer review.

Meaning what, exactly?
Because, as someone who believes it serves no real purpose in psilocybe cultivation, that is precisely how I'd describe the effort to cling to this outdated practice.
