Yes you've got that right for the most part:
You can fruit PF cakes as-is, no need to crumble them into substrate; which, for the way you want to do things is probably better, as crumbling them can enable whatever small amount of contaminant is in there to reproduce out of control and take over.
As for the agar test I'd give it a solid week to be sure.
A bunch of PF cakes will still produce more than enough for you and your friends' needs, even if bulk is better, cakes are no joke on their own

Thanks Buddy!
Hopefully the syringes will arrive without drama. Next Week. I put in my last populated agar petri dish into the liquid culture. Trying to be as steralile as possible when the syringes are here I will make new agar petri dishes and test out the LC. on it.
If faiulre I will start with new glucose liquid and attempt a new LC being more sterile. using more sterile techniques.

so quick update to everyone but esp to you Mr.Jong as you have been very diligent and also holding me to task for everything.
About a month has passed I had some travels so just to be on the safe side I refrigerated my 8 days liquid culture which maybe was a bit on the excessive side I took it out let it get back to 23-24c Climate here has heaten up so my main storage facility is definitely on the 24c side of things now.
I did an Agar test with the liquid culture 4 days after returning and letting the warmth get back to the Liquid Culture I also made new agar to agar transfers so about 3 with Liquid culture to Agar and about 2 with agar to agar
After about a week in storage the three agar dishes with Liquid Culture two had growth although it was scattered and many small myceliums growing slowly The third one which was not using high grade petri dishes but instead a different lid failed to colonize at all. it just seem to have a glucose liquid swimming on top of the agar The Agar to Agar Rather than the beautiful strong dominant growth coming from the agar to agar
I will try to upload pictures of this
Lets hope the pic is working.....

So going back to the previous post the top one is one of my Agar to Agar the two bottom ones are Liquid to Agar.
Anyway moving on in May yesterday I finally got working on my PF Cake I mixed the BRVW (Brown rice, vermiculite, and water) using the right amount. I use filtered water. Then ran them for about 100min at 15psi in the pressure cooker I also decided to make a new batch of LC Provided I now had all the syringes some good Agar to Agar mycelium so wanted to do it from scratch using the method with Glucose on top of agar scratch the mycelium layer from the Agar onto the LC and then putting it all back into the syringe and filling it in the glucose mixture.
I also created breathing jars both for the PF Cakes and ones with filters for my new Liquid culture.
I created 4 cakes I proceeded to inoculate two with the old "weak" LC and kept two un inoculated for the new LC I'm still waiting for the agar to fruit up there. But I kept a syringe filled with agar from one petri dish and with a lot of scratched mycelium let it sit in the syringe for 48h then inoculated a third jar with that.
So gonna wait now For my PF Cakes to get inoculated See if the new gen LC from the syringe will outcompete the two other jars that have a head start
since I still have new Agar dishes brewing I'm also gonna continue with the old school method whilst waiting for this to complete
I am currently in the process of soaking brown rice and gonna create several new grain spawns that I will make primarily Agar transfers to.
