I can vent it, I just have to manually flip the nozzle thang, how Ive been venting is once I hear a hiss I start a 10 minute timer then flip it closed, should I be doing it differently ?

Anywhere from I don't know to just get a canner if you're in north america and not subject to european import fees.
You can easily get a new presto for under $100.
Venting wise, you start the timer when there is a solid plume of steam coming out of the vent.

The thing is Iโm trying to be low key about it, so a canner is kind of weird to have when I donโt can food, instant pot for me is bet, unless I just keep it in my room until I use it.
Though why a canned and not pc? Any difference?

Sounds like a good time to get into the culinary hobby and annoy the shit out of your roomies by making delicious pulled pork in a pressure cooker once a week.

Canning is an incredible hobby in and of itself that justifies having a pc to use every once in awhile. People who have pcs use it anywhere from once a day to once a decade.

Canner = pressure canner, they are synonymous.
When I started this hobby I was also concerned about people's perception of things, until I realized people are very unaware and generally do not care about anything outside of their immediate needs and interests.
I was lucky in that I was already using my pressure canner to can up food for the shelf, but these folks in here are giving you good advice. You can cram a couple of pork butts in one and have fall apart carnitas in two hours or so. You can also can that meat too! I hunt a lot and I usually make a big batch of venison barbacoa when I get a deer, then I can that barbacoa in pint jars. When we want delicious tacos I just pop a jar and pour it in the pan, BOOM done.
You can do so much with a pressure canner in the mycology hobby, it will open up everything to you.
The standard model a lot of us use is the presto 23 quart pressure canner. If that's too big for you and you want to have a shorter canner, the 16 quart will do. I highly recommend getting the 23 quart though, you'll want it when you start going a lil crazy with the hobby

I've used mine 3 times a day 3 hours a time for a few months straight now; been waiting for it to explode..
..Once every couple weeks for taco nights of course.

My PC's in plain sight of anybody who walks in my front door. The only person who's ever noticed the Presto up on the kitchen cabinet commented how jealous they were of our "bigass stockpot".
Kind of a sweet story, the PC was actually a gift from my wife's grandmother who was thoroughly impressed that my wife processed two dozen jars of apple butter in a hot water bath one year when we couldn't afford Christmas gifts. She ordered it from hospice and had it sent to our house, was probably the last item she ever purchased.

A couple quick questions I can't find good answers to:
1. How much distance should be between the floor and tubs/grain/ect.?
2. Is there a significant benefit to soaking grains w coffee and gypsum?
