Pros and cons of publicly being in to psychadelics

As per the subject title I'd like to hear peoples opinions on having a persona in your neighbourhoods as the psych dude/chick.
It may be a flag to attract the type of folks you want to attract, but I fear it's also a flag to attract people willing to take advantage of vulnerabilities. Physical safety is less of a concern when travelling solo and on foot when one is not openly a psych dude/chick, y'know?
And then on top of that there is law enforcement. I'd rather not have any confrontations from them. How naïve am I to think that as an openly drug 'user', I will be left in peace. Are they likely to reserve their confrontations for dealers and bigger players?
Thoughtful comments appreciated.

Just confused what the issue is. I have found it to be a non issue. I don't tell everyone I meet I have done psychedelics. Nor do I wear a shirt that says I do acid. No negative reactions when I have told people. Have made new friends and bonded over tripping/picking. It was known I sold shrooms when I was in high school. Chicks dig it.

Have you ever made new friends whilst tripping? Were you open about being high at the time? It feels like a dirty secret to me and I don't want it to. Have you ever met somebody who was also tripping whilst you were out tripping?

I ran into my buddies dad when we were just fried on acid rolling around in the park. He was like have you boys been into the magic mushrooms. Not even sure if we uttered a response.
I have met some people while tripping for sure and ran into other people tripping. Have also picked some fields with like 10 other people in it and had some chats out there and kept in contact with a couple people I met there.
I've had a couple very close calls with police including one where they suspected I had booze in my in backpack containing 2 oz cubes. He patted it to make sure there wasn't a bottle in it and even looked in it a bit. "He then said oh you weren't lying" and hand it back. Not sure if he saw them. Have also gone through roadblocks with a bunch. I had my ID taken by a cop from my wallet which contained a gram of k. Was drunk tanked. They handed it back to me in the morning.

As if it had to be said, but, here it is...
I find it best not to overtly broadcast anything offline while in public which might be easily misconstrued by untrustworthy, cruel, or ignorant individuals or groups as 'hey, look at that *insert something about oneself*... ~ associates with ~ ...*insert so-called illegal activity*

The police in my city give zero fucks about an LSD enthusiast walking down the street even if you wore a shirt saying "I love acid". We have a fent and meth epidemic, the police arent going to search my backpack looking for LSD because i have a tie dye shirt. If you freaked out and caused a disturbance you may have issues, and I understand the law isnt enforced equally in all places. You should take your dose and leave the stash at home, no real reason to be walking around with it. I understand how people got caught with weed, but LSD you had do make some effort to get busted.
I dont think joe average in public knows you are tripping unless you tell him, I'm not worried about being a victim of a crime while tripping

I think there's an advantage to not hiding psychedelic use from close family and friends, but nothing beyond that. For close friends and family I think the advantage is just that you don't have to maintain a lie or a life of secrecy, which can have negative impacts on your mental health over long enough periods of time.
It's incredibly dangerous to tell anyone you grow or make drugs. If you grow or extract whatever, remember: trust no one, tell no one, loose lips sink ships.
Don't look like a drug user so that you don't attract attention from cops.

Well, this is what I was thinking. I was taunted by golfers whilst resting on a bench once. It brought in to question my physical safety whilst tripping.
It's interesting to read opposing views on the matter. Is it to do with the different types of people or is it to do with my actions. I was laying horizontally on a bench as I was tired from a lot of walking. I could have been giving them tramp vibes. However, I had an unfriendly encounter with a golfer days prior when I wasn't even high. Do golfers tend to be assholes? Cyclists seem nice.

Nah, bro. The cyclist lady who I moved out of the way for, while she passed, expressed gratitude. That was sweet.
