RH sensor
    #28775901 - 05/16/24 04:15 AM (1 month, 11 days ago)

Hi All.
I've researched this many times, but the question remains - where can I find a reliable RH sensor that works above 90% RH in an oyster room?

Capacitive sensors are useless
Wet and dry suffer from maintenance problems and reliability
optical mirror types - ditto

Are there any other avenues I can pursue?

You're pretty much SOL when it comes to very high RH levels, I think.

I guess the best heuristic you'll get from a consumer-grade RH sensor in your application boils down to:
1: RH sensor still works after 7 days --> Humidity too low.
2: RH sensor gives erratic readings after 3 days and cannot be restored to reliable reading --> Humidity has been  just right at least some of the time.

These guys claim they have the answer: https://www.vaisala.com/sites/default/files/documents/CEN-TIA-Warmed-Probe-Application-Note-B211246EN-A_0.pdf
Drop $2k and find out if they're right.
