Good to know and now when thinking about it it makes sense. There wouldn't be a point to put spores in a syringe just to put it on agar instead of putting the spores on agar directly.

Looking at this: https://www.zamnesia.com/content/546-how-to-identify-a-contaminated-mushroom-culture
And PINK MOLD / RED BREAD MOLD looks similar to mine with that light brown in the middle?
Or is it pink or red? It looks brown to me in the pictures, and mine are light brown, not pink or red.

You don't have any pink or red mold, or any other type of mold that I can see. What you have looks within the range of normal for a PF cake. If there is anything going on it is a small amount of bacteria which is slow and doesn't look to be harming the culture at all. A little bit of bacteria like that is normal for PF cakes.
You are just head trippin about things that don't matter. Your cakes look like cakes.

Your jars are fine my man. I think your hyper fixated on them and because you've failed previously it's hard to be positive. You've got many vet growers telling you they look totally fine. And they do. Best thing right now is to literally just forget about them and occupy your time with other things for the next week and check back to see how colonized they are.

Going to be another person to chime in and say those jars look fine. Forget about them for now and start a new project.

Before you know it you will have so many cultures popping off... You'll laugh about how you were so worried about these jars. Congrats in advance!

I left the foil on the lids that I didn't modify. (Only modified a few because I didn't expect it to work.)
The lids aren't completely closed so I thought it might be good to keep the foil on them to maybe stop something small flying around from getting in there? Or does it even make a difference?
Can you walk us through your setup and process? PF tek lids have four holes in them and a layer of dry verm on top of the cakes to act as a filter.

if I have a micro filter on it, do I need the dry layer of verm? I feel like it’s caused me problems.

I will answer. Not because I know shit, but because I've asked these same questions and gotten the answers. You do not need the dry verm layer if you have some other filter on the lid. In fact, not using the dry verm layer will enable you to inoculate directly with agar by just opening the lid in your SAB and dropping in a cutting like with grain. If you do have the dry verm layer and want to inoculate from agar you will need to put some sterilized water on the cleaned agar culture and suck it back into a syringe and shoot it in like the original PF Tek describes.

Since I failed with agar and liquid culture before I didn't expect PF-tek to work either so I only modified some of the lids.
The rest have unmodified lids, not completely closed, with foil. I don't know if it makes a difference to keep the foil? I was thinking it might stop something microscopic from getting in there if you keep the foil on. I added a layer of vermiculite on all of them. Inoculated in a still air box. Flamed the needle between each jar unless I forgot but I think I did between each of them.

I know there’s a thread somewhere on here that shows various mushroom-producing contaminants but can’t find it for the life of me. I’m not speaking of the contamination thread here https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23130868 but a different thread that more specifically goes into contaminations that produce fruit bodies. Anyone have any idea?
Unless someone could help me identify this? 😀 The grower of this says they’re suppose to be oysters. Now I’ve never grown oysters but from what I’ve seen online, this is not how oyster pins are suppose to look???? I do know there is a contamination that looks like this though.

Is that tub in the background of the picture just a tub of another species behind your fruiting block or are you trying to fruit the oysters inside it? King oysters can work in tubs, but most other varieties don't get enough FAE and grow all wonky in them.

Not my grow. Seen someone post it in the gram. Could be a mutation from lack of proper environment that’s for sure

Check out this one. It's my favorite I've found: How it should & shouldn't look - NEW CULTIVATORS GUIDE
You have to scroll way down past how it should look to get to the how it shouldn't look section.
