Felt confident when picking but the dark gills are making me nervous. It was raining heavily at the time of picking, which killed my phone battery so I couldn't photograph on site. Taking some spore prints now but maybe that's not enough anyway, I'm not sure.
Habitat: Growing on moss
2 of them had damaged gills and appeared to be already bruised, darker colour.
Others appeared brown as typical psilocybe sub.

Definitely Psilocybe.
Just make sure all bruise blue, from what I see they all do.

If your new to picking and weary of hidden galerina, keep your finds separate not in one bag pile. Use a fishing tackle box and keep each find separate as u can till positively looking close once home. You found gold but keep weary of lookalikes that can grow amongst the subs. Enjoy all the blue bruising finds man

Thanks for the advice - yea definitely will do that next time! Can I just add that this forum is amazing? It's really heart-warming see people helping eachother out with something that is otherwise hard to get help on & potentially preventing people from taking risks they shouldn't. What a mad bunch

Yeah I can agree. I joined the shroomrry in July last year when the panaeolus Cinctulus mushrooms were about. I discovered it from a very old post about using basil extract in combination with enzymes to get high lmao, sounds like a loads of bs though. I was surprised how lively this site still is despite the fact it’s 27 years old. Loads of people still use it! I love the Shroomery a lot, there’s piles of extremely useful information and ridiculously intelligent people here to help out with things and the community is very welcoming to newcomers. Also they’re some amazing, beautiful trip reports on here

I’m in love with the world and its contents, I finally understand all of the people who love this and live for this. It’s so much more than just hallucinations for me, it’s an emotional and psychological journey. This is truly the most beautiful experience I’ve ever had.” 28th of September, 2023 "Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind, possessing and caressing me, Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns it calls me on and on, across the universe…” -John Lennon

yes it's nice to see an old school forum is still very active! This is the kind of internet that I miss - people simply sharing their passions and helping eachother out without any agenda. I feel really inspired by it. Definitely need to share my trip when I get the chance to do more than a microdose but there is so much rain I am still in foraging mode

How did you like the panaeolus cinctulus btw? I've only ever tried psilocybin subs. There are many amanita muscaria around this year but i'm too scared haha

Never got the opportunity to actually try them sadly. I picked loads but I didn’t have a dehydrator and I was off to London the day after so I couldn’t eat them. If I had been able to it would’ve been my first trip but since then I’ve had 3 trips

Yeah last year was great. All 3 of my trips were off of semilanceata, I’m in north Scotland so we have a pretty long lib season. My first trip was on the 28th of September alone at night and was an incredibly gorgeous experience. My second (a bit silly) was on the 29th of September and I did it with a couple of my friends. That day was for sure a while as hell ride, I mean what a fucking day ahaha. I have a pretty extensive trip report on here (“high dose trip with friends (rewrite)” I thinks it’s called something like that. If you’re interested you can find it on my profile as one of my threads. Nobody’s read it yet I don’t think cause it’s so long ahaha. My third trip was on the 28th of October and the dosage was perfect but it was by far the least meaningful. I did it alone at night again but it was really not that good. Not bad, it just wasn’t meaningful.
Anyways rambling done ahaha

haha that's awesome, I will try to find your post. Gotta love both the meaningful experiences and just the wild rides. Sometimes I just force myself out of the house to get more sensory input, it can be more important than potency sometimes I think, but I'm really lucky to live in a reasonably safe area with mostly open minded people.
